stripes are the new black

here's a pic of the touque i crocheted for C's new baby. it turned out pretty darn cute and i decided to make it bigger rather than smaller since baby is due in spring which can be pretty cold and i don't want him/ her to grow out of it right away!

brrrr! baby its cold outside!

well the weather has been awful (-28ish and colder with wind chill and about a foot of snow) and they say it will continue for another week. thank god my man bought me a seat warmer for my car. it has been a life saver, especially on my way to and from work. scrubs don't exactly keep you warm! since its been so chilly we are doing a lot of hibernating. i've been crocheting, taking photos and of course editing them! what would i do without you picnik?

i made a ridiculously cute hat for a friend at work. her first little one is due in march. i know she loves red so i did red and white stripes. love it! i'll post pics of it once i can take some with decent light. i also edited a bunch of pics from our trip to portland last summer. enjoi.

these pics (and the terrible weather) make me so excited for our upcoming trip to cuba!! less than 2 months to go!

its snowing!

yeah it's snowing... like a lot... like a shitload! my man has shovelled the walks 3 times already today! check out these recent pics.......

the best thing ever after a long day.....

there is nothing like coming home and smelling dinner cooking in the oven; especially when you had a shitty day at work and the drive home was slippery.  you think that nothing can top that- and then you look in the fridge and there is beer! beer, and it's your favourite kind! ahh bliss! and then you get a hug from the man you love and kisses from the dog you love. ahhh life is good
